Hof 1 Hotel is, among the old turf church Hofskirkja, located in the central region of Öræfasveit, encompassed with captivating surroundings. The hotel is partly situated in buildings that were originally built and used as stables and barns for sheep, but have been transformed into a lovely hotel that provides personal service to it´s visitors. When inside there is little that is reminiscent of the original purpose of the buildings. The floors have been laid with tiles, the interior is tasteful and welcoming, and majestic leather furniture make for a warm and comfortable stay. The walls portray artwork by some of the most renowned painters Iceland has produced. This dramatic change in the appearance of the buildings, further emphasizes the great change that has been made, from farming and taking care of sheep, to providing quality service to travelers from all over the world.
